Video of the Day: “Forrest Becomes a Racist”

One of my favorite comedies on television is the relatively obscure Comedy Central show “Review,” a fake documentary show in which a hapless critic named Forrest (played by MADTV’s Andrew Daly) reviews “life experiences” submitted by viewers. In this clip, Forrest is assigned the task of reviewing racism. It’s both hilarious and a surprisingly incisive critique of the wide gulf between what white people think racism is and how people of color experience the daily micro-aggressions that implicit bias, stereotype threat and racial anxiety enable.
