Rheanna Ganapathy is a Research & Data Analyst at Perception Institute. Rheanna works within the Research & Assessment team on client engagements and assessments of workplace climate and interpersonal dynamics. She also supports work applying social science insights to client work from Perception’s Media & Narrative department. Rheanna has four years of academic research experience in psychology and economics. Rheanna’s research has addressed questions pertaining to predictors of prosocial behavior, how social cognition and racial perception uncover the impact of media representation on health, utilization of R and census bureau data to accurately map inequality markers, and the relationship of various identity dimensions to our perceptions of our social world. She utilizes both qualitative and quantitative methods to pursue this work. Prior to Perception, Rheanna worked in the corporate risk management and insurance industry for four years as a VP and marine cargo broker and advisor, supporting over 100 Fortune 500 companies managing their exposure to risk throughout their supply chain. Rheanna received a MA in Psychology at New York University, and a BS in Psychology and BS in Economics from Santa Clara University. She is currently based in Queens, NY.
